North Fulton School of Music offers a variety of assessment programs for students. These programs help students set and achieve goals as well as mark progress for each student. Students receive valuable feedback from having a third party adjudicator. NFSM THEORY ASSESSMENTS

North Fulton School of Music offers internal assessment programs to help students mark progress and set goals. The Theory Assessments is a written music theory exam designed similar to the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exam. The Music Theory Exam was built by a group of North Fulton School of Music instructors who excel in music theory and have vast experience in preparing students for the ABRSM exams.

NFSM PRACTICAL ASSESSMENTS

North Fulton School of Music offers internal assessment programs to help students mark progress, set goals, and receive constructive feedback to help their growth as developing musicians. Practical Assessment is offered once a year. Students register for the event, prepare two pieces to perform in front of a North Fulton School of Music judge, and receive scores on the performances. This helps the students grow as musicians and gain experience performing in front of a judge. The superior scoring students (score of 90% or above) receive trophies for their superior rating. Excellent scoring students (score of 80-90%) receive a medal for the excellent rating. Awards are presented at our Fall Recital.
